From 2016 tenants became able to require landlords to take the necessary steps to get the property to E rating or above, and since 2018 it has become illegal to rent out a property with an EPC rating of F or G.

The good news in that your Energy Performance Certificate will show what steps you can/will need to  take to improve the rating. As more tenants are considering the EPC rating when choosing a property, it may be sensible to increase the rating where possible, even if it is not a requirement for you to do so.
